Aint no room for love in the heart of a playa.

If you’re going to act like this then fuck you. I’m done with this shit.

College essay. Tell me what you think so far?

“Get up! You are going to miss the bus!” Nan is yelling from her room again to wake me up for school. Every morning I hear this. I quickly get dressed, eat and run out for the bus. If I miss the bus, Nan ends up driving me. Even when I was living with my mom, Nan would come over to wake me up for the bus. You may be wondering who Nan is. Nan is my mother’s mother, my grandmother.

I have lived with Nan since I was a little girl. When I was seven something occurred at home and I was brought to Nan’s house, and I have been here ever since. Nan is probably the sweetest person you will ever meet. My uncle’s friends love her, and so do mine. She is always giving, never complaining. Nan tries to make everyone happy, and do what is in the best interest for everyone. She ahas always pushed me to do my best and I hate to let her down. That is why I love her. Nan attends church every Sunday as she is a devoted Catholic. Her faith has helped her be so strong throughout her life. I have never met someone who is as strong as Nan. She has lost both parents, all but one of her btohers, her husband, and two of her children. Still after all of that she is the happiest person, always smiling, rarely ever upset. Even though Nan may be short on cash, she still tries to make me happy with everything I want. What she does not realize is that I am happy with what I have. I do not need her spending her money on material objects for me. I have her love and that is all I could ever ask for.

Nan is the most insiprational and influnetial person on my life. She has been there since the beginning of my life. She is more than a grandmother to me, she is like my mother and my best friend. We have our share of fights, but we always get through them. She has made me the loving and caring person that I am today.
